Committees

Citizens Oversight Committee (COC)

In November 2010, Martinez voters approved a $45 million bond (Measure K) to improve facilities district-wide. In November 2016, voters approved a $120 million bond (Measure R) to improve facilities district-wide, with a focus on elementary school sites. The Citizens' Oversight Committee has been established to oversee Measure K and Measure R bond proceeds, expenditures, and review the audit reports.

Curriculum Advisory Council (CAC)

This committee facilitates the articulation and coordination of the TK-12 curriculum. The committee provides a vehicle for defining and discussing curricular concerns as they relate to the district program. The council advises the superintendent and the board in making curriculum related decisions. All instructional materials purchased with textbook and/or lottery funds are processed through this committee.

District English Learners Advisory Council (DELAC)

The purpose of the DELAC is to advise, not govern, EL services and programs offered by the district.

Technology Advisory Committee (TAC)

The purpose of the Technology Advisory Committee is to provide the Martinez Unified School District with feedback from a variety of interested persons willing to study topics and make suggestions or recommendations that will benefit all students.
