LCAP Information

SEEKING LCAP COMMITTEE PARENTS!!!!

The LCAP Executive Advisory Committee (EAC) will make recommendations and provide feedback to the district for the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).  The purpose of this committee is to review the current LCAP implementation and propose possible revision and modifications based upon a review of district data. 

 

The participants must be able to attend all four sessions and be willing to gather input from the stakeholder group they represent.  The meetings will be held at either the District Office or Vicente Martinez High School (across the street) and are scheduled from 6:00 – 8:00 on:

 

Wednesday, February 21

Wednesday, March 7

TUESDAY, March 27

Wednesday, April 18

GENERAL LCAP Timeline

January -February   (Stakeholder Engagement, Consultation)
  • Parent Survey Sent to All Families
  • Data Analysis/Needs Assessment 
  • Collect information for Annual Update
  • Feb: Survey Closes
  • EAC Meeting #1 (6:00-8:00 pm)
March   (Plan Development, Public Comment, Opportunities for Input, Response  & Revision)
  • EAC Meeting #2 (6:00-8:00 pm)
  • EAC Meeting #3 (6:00-8:00 pm)

April-June      (Revision, Information &  Adoption)

  • (April) Revise LCAP Draft based on input
  • EAC Meeting #4 (6:00-8:00 pm)
  • April - May:  Meet with PTA, DELAC, ELAC, etc. 
  • Early May: Board Meeting: LCAP information to Board, Draft to Board, Open Public Comment Period
  • Early June: LCAP Available for Public Comment 
  • Mid June Board Meeting - Final Draft Presented for Information 
  • Last Board Meeting in June: Adoption in Conjunction with Budget Hearing
  • by 6.30 - Submit to County Office of Education and Post on Website

What are LCFF and LCAP?

LCFF (Local Control Funding Formula) requires school districts to involve parents in planning and decision making.

It also:

  • Shifts spending decisions from the state to your local school district.
  • Requires your school district to focus on the eight key areas that help all students succeed.
  • Provides extra funding for students with greater challenges.
  • Gives your district more flexibility for how to spend its money to improve local schools.
